Hi,

I am trying to install the keyless entry on my ford taurus(sedan), but I have couple of problem.

One is that I can't find where is the parkinglight wire and trunk release. On wire diagram, parkinglight

locates headlight switch or fusebox, but I couldn't find.

Today I connected 12V wire, Ignition wir and Power Door(Lock, Unlock), then I checked working properly,  but nothing working except indicating lamp on.

Can somebody help me ?

Thanks,

HS

what kind of keyless entry is it......i see you hooked  up the constant ,ing and the locks what bout ground......parking light wire should be in the switch the color on that car might differ youll have to use the the wire that shows 12 volts when the switch is on it should be brown in color.... and the trunk  just go  to the release switch and look for the gray and red wire or the wire that shows 12 volts when the trunk release is pushed... what color wires are you using for the door locks....????

Thanks for advices,

I bought Commando KL-455 keyless entry.

For parking light, I couldn't see the switch of parking light unless uncovering that is very difficult. To working do I need uncovering of the steering cover.

For trunk release, on the keyless entry wiring wire is negative(-), so on the wiring chart color is purple / YELLOW(-) or gray/red(-)?

I used pink / YELLOW color for door lock and pink/It. green for door unlock. But I wondered that door lock has 12V and door unlock has 0V. What is the voltage of wires?

Thanks again,

HS

k for the parking lights you dont have to take off hte steering column...there should be the switch that turns on the headlights check behind that...  youll probaly have to cut off the tape to really see the wires..now your trunk release is confusing me... r you adding keyless entry or does the car already have it..if it has RKE then its purple / YELLOW (-)  if no RKE then its gray/red(+) at the release switch...those are the right wires for the locks...they both will read 12 volts at rest.. press lock  should read 0...  do the same with unlock  should also read 0...
