After I installed a remote starter in a 93 Accord, I noticed the tachometer is not working.  I am assuming it is either the tach wire I hooked up, or the brain that is bad.  The starter works fine.  I will be able to troubleshoot it when this guy brings it back to me, but I thought I would just check real quick if someone had heard of this ever before.  Thanks

First off i would double check that you are using the blue wire at the distributor and that it tests good with a DMM. Second i would see if the brain has a tach learn feature. And then  make sure that you are using the tach start instead of voltage sense. Let us know what you find out.

Yeah everything checks out, The tachometer just works sporatically now.  I even disconnected the tach wire and the tachometer worked sometimes and then sometimes it didn't.  so it looks as though it is an independant problem.

Thats a good question, the owner never noticed it until I installed the starter.  It may have not worked before.
