I am changing alarms in my car soon.  I have a 2000 Mitsu Eclipse with factory keyless/alarm and currently have installed a Aladdin 2000 alarm.

On the stock keyless there is the feature that allows you to unlock on the first press just he drivers side door then the second press unlocks the passenger side.

After I installed the aladdin 2000 i lost the feature.  I know to get this to work requires some relays and stuff.

I'd liek to get an understanding on what I need to do before installing this new alarm

BTW the new alarm i got is the Aladdin 2002, now called the Lynx from PME.  its pretty sharp!!!!!

http://www.relayhelp.com/  SCROLL THROUGH THE 20 DIAGRAMS. DRIVERS PRIORITY ID #11

You need to have drivers priority unlock as a feature on your unit, and since you say it is pretty sharp it probably does.

all right i'll check for that spec then.  suprisingly the Aladdin 2000 didnt have it.  I was told once that you had to use a series of relays and stuff or maybe a module.
