The other day my battery died on me so of course i tried to jump start my truck (98 ford explorer) with no success so then guessing that the battery was completely dead i bought a new one and tried that with no success as well. Finally I came to realize that the factory alarm on my truck was activated not letting me start my truck. Me and a freind of mine tried to reset the alarm buy removing the battery wire for a while then trying it again with no luck as well as a few other things with nothing. If anyone has any ideal on how I might be able to reset my alarm so i can get my truck running again please help me out. Im not very knowledgeable on alarms as you may have guessed already but any help at all would be much appreciated.

There's a DARK GREEN/ PURPLE wire at the driver's kick panle which is the OEM alarm DISARM wire. Ground this wire and see if this helps you. The only thing that makes  me think that this won't work is that the OEM alarm works as a passive system, so if your system is armed and you try to get into it without disarming the alarm, the horn will honk and the lights will flash, but you did not mention this in your post.
