Hi im new to all of this so I need some help.  I'm installing a new car alarm into my Ford Ranger.  I have most everything hooked up but I cant figure out how to hook up the shock sensor.  It says its a 2 stage shock sensor and it has a 4 pin outlet that is white.  On the control module there is a 4 pin outlet that is orange.  The 4 pin connectors are also white and orange and have 4 wires between them.  When I match up the colors on the pins nothing happenes.  Then in the booklet it has some confusing directions saying for those 4 wires, "green wire warn away input, blue wire zone 4 ground trigger, black wire negative, and red wire +12Volt."  I'm afraid of cutting any of these wires so and help would be much appreciated.  Also what is the best place to get your 12V power from?  i know its not the battery, right?

Thanks Tommy

RED: go to the main harness

BLACK : go to the GROUND on the MAIN HARNESS

GREEN: 1st impact warn away will attach to the other green wire on the main unit for the impact sensor port

BLUE: Full trigger that will attach to the other BLUE wire on the main unit for the impact sensor port

You may also want to wait about 2 minutes before doing anything to the vehicle because some systems require a 2 minute window before the impact is activated.
