I have a 1995 Jeep Cherokee and after disconnected the battery terminals and hooking them back up the alarm system went off. I bought the jeep with the alarm in it and it has no remote for it. So i tried to un-hook the alarm and than it wouldnt start. So i think  i found the ground under the dash and un-hooked that. So the car now turns over but wont start. How can i take the alarm out? Or get it to start?  Any help would be appreciated.

We need a little more description. Factory alarm or aftermarket? In what way does the car not start? Does it crank?
--If it's a factory alarm, unlocking the driver's door with the key should disarm it.
--If it's an aftermarket alarm, disconecting the ground might not work right, so put that back.
To defeat the aftermarket alarm temporarily, do one of two things:
1. Locate the valet switch, probably in the kick panel. In most cases, you turn the ignition on and then flip or push the switch. The alarm's red LED would come on steady; the alarm is disared and in valet mode. It should probably stay like that until you have to disconnect the battery again.
2. Find the wire that has a fuse on it, going to the brain of the aftermarket alarm. Remove the fuse.
As a long-term thing, if it's an afermarket alarm, you might want to go to remotesunlimited.com and see what it would cost to buy a remote for it. Otherwise, completely remove the alarm, and either replace it, or put all of the car's wiring like it was from the factory.

is there any relays on the main ign harness, like a starter kill would have only maybe on the ignition wire? you stated that it does crank which means there's no starter kill (or it's just not working right) but someone might have put the same idea on a ignition wire to prevent the engine from starting, just cranking
