Alarm is a Dei Automate AM7  installed in an 04 tiburon.  The remote start works while the alarm is armed, but not while disarmed.  It will try to crank, but not turnover.   I've noticed they added several new features since the 553, could this be one or did I over look something.   Thanks

Whats grounding your bypass module (what triggers it to turn on)?

There is no bypass necessary for this model.  Only factory keyless entry.

update,   It will not remote start while the door locks are unlocked, but WILL when they are locked the alarm being armed has nothing to do with it.

crank and turn over are the same thing.
exactly what happens when you hit the start button? ignition comeson but no crank? cranks but doesn't start?
what?
and yes the 04 tiburon has transponder.
see if there is an M stamped into the shaft of your key.

Ignition comes on, cranks for one second but doesn't start.  If there is no transponder then how does the car start remotely with the doors locked?  No there are no markings on the key shaft.    Thanks

I am still baffled at why the locks are prohibiting the remote start from starting.  Can anyone elaborate?

I forgot to update this sooner.  The problem was me tagging the factory hood switch, causing a shutdown due to backfeeding.    To resolve the issue I installed my own hood switch and all is now well.
