Just joined the forumn. Have been doing installs on the side for many years and have never had a problem like this. I have a taiddan hard wired garage door opener that is supposed to be wired in line to work with when I flash my brights on a 2006 hummer h3. I used a little test light that was supplied in the kit and after figuring which wires I thought were the right ones, i found out they are wrong. For some reason, the headlights on with the brights on will not light this "test light". It has a 3 wire plug. Is it possible that maybe the light get power from all 3 when the brights are on? I noticed i have 3 wires, blue, orange, pink. I spliced into the blue and pink. When I have the lights off and pull back the turn signal to turn on the brights the light will light up but not when the headlights are on. Can anyone help with this. The companies website, www.taiddan.com is not running. I purchased this on ebay and hope this is not a scam. Thanks in advance.

Brad

Maybe you have the test light ground lead connected to the low beam power instead of the common ground.
If that's the case, the light will light up when you flash the high beams, because the low beam filament is supplying a connection to ground.
Then when you turn on the headlights, you have power on that low beam line, so even when you flash the high beams, you won't have the difference in voltage needed to light up the test light. If both sides are at 12V, effectively you won't get any power to the test light.
Try switching the low side connection to the orange wire, since that's the only one left.
