I just installed a Direct start 423 and I noticed that it seems to arm passively, unless it is just locking after engine shut-down.  This is not a problem as far as the alarm features go since it is installed on a manual transmission vehicle, but I hook ed up a starter kill relay and used the Brown wire for the trigger as suggested in the manual, but since it seems to be passively arming, the starter kill relay gets triggered, which is fine unless I run into a case where I dont have a transmitter and I need to start my car with just the key.  There is no programming switch, so I am not sure what to do in this case. Granted that this case might never happen, but it would be no, good if it did.  How do you disarm without a transmitter on this model?  I guess I could just change my trigger to the (-) when running, but what a pain in the ass since I am all done with the install and hid the unit really well and it really doesn't want to be disturbed.  ANy ideas are appreciated.

I have that one selected, I think the problem lies somewhere else.  I just thought of something though, This is not my problem, because even if I actively arm it, if I need to go out to the car without a transmitter, there seems to be no way to disarm the system, as there usually is on alarms equipped with program switches. I think I will just cut out the starter kill relay anyway since there is really not necessary.  Let me know if there is a way to overide the brown wire without using the transmitter.  Thanks
