I've installed a cs-2015fm in a 2000 Toyota 4 Runner and I was wonder if anyone has a workaround for this problem...

When the truck is remote started, and then automaticaly shuts off after the programed time or is remotely shut off, the head/tail lights stay on.  This is part of the factory system, when the head/tail lights are left on after shutting off the vehicle, they automatically shut off when the driver's door is opened.  (which will not happen on a remote shut off)

Aside from the obvious of manually shutting the head/tail lights off inside, does anyone know a way to trigger the door open (for a few seconds) when the remote start shuts off??

Thanks for any suggestions...

Check your wiring diagram, normally the hood pin wire has a shutdown pulse after the programmed time shutoff the vehicle.  This wire when the hood is open and it will not allow you to remote start.  You can hook up a relay to it to isolate the hood pin wire and send a pluse to the door pin or dome light wire.

pin 85 to Hood pin wire, pin 86 to 12v 3amp fused, pin 87 to ground or 12v (depend on the door trigger types), and pin 30 to the driver's door pin or dome light.  and ignore pin 87a

good luck
