I just had a DEI 564T unit installed in my 2006 Savanva Cargo van. It was installrd by one of DEI's web site recommended dealers.

First problem is their is no hood pin or toggle switch for the remote start - Dealer claims they don't usually install them.

Second problem is I'm getting the bypass code on my doors. (like the delay dome will cause). Dealer says it's normal as the doors will still trigger the alarm if opened. The LCD door icon flashes contantly on my remote when armed.  Do they have something miss wired or forgot a diode somewhere ?

as far as the hood pin goes, if its a remote starter, in my opinion its a must.

the door problem you are having is because they probably used a domelight wire for the door triggers. I'm guessing that you have a delay on your domelight when you shut your doors. what happens is the 564 is reading the doors open when you arm it because the domelight is on. they can fix this by using actual door triggers or by a simple programing change. get a hold of the dealer who installed it and they should fix this for you at no charge.

It still does it even if i wait till the dome light turns off - i can wait an hour, then lock it & it will show the bypass
