04 GMC Savana.
Just installed a remote starter. Van cranks, but won't start. security light flashs.
I think 791 bypass module doesn't learn the right code, because the LED on the bypass module is always on which should be off.
Attached photo, pls. help to determine which is the right yellow wire of the passlock II system. Left one or Right one? Main IGN harness has two yellow wires.

Those taped connections are only temporary, right? They should be tightly and neatly wrapped, not made into balls. And the red wire is exposed.
But anyway.....
--One method is to start up the van, let it run, and cut one of the yellow wires in half..... if the security light comes on, that's the right wire.
(When you shut the van off, put the wire back together, and re-start, the light will go out.)
But then, you have a 50/50 chance of getting the wrong wire.
--Another, simpler way, would be to just take the black plastic cover from around the steering column---it just unsnaps; although snapping it back together takes a little patience.
If you look around near the keyhole, the Passlock wires can be found there in a 3-pin plug----- the resistance wire is yellow, and Passlock ground is tan.

Thanks everybody.
to brcidd,
You are right! It's the wire close to the black wire on the same side of harness.
