Either in the door or if that's not accessible, then in the driver's kick panel is fine.

For some reason i was told to try and mount it in the middle of the vehicle for the best coverage..Is this true??

mrcllusb it must be a comprehensive system your installing
the above locations are good.. shouldn't need to go to the middle

I;m installing a clifford arrow 3 with intellistart,duplex shock sensor and glass break sensor..
