Ok I have installed so far 3 viper 791.  However the 1st 791 install was really a reinstall from a previous stereo shop for a 2002 trans am.  One feature I really liked was the installer some how got the acessory function to work whenever I hit the remote start button meaning the vehicle will remain locked, parking lights flashing and my radio would be on.  HOwever remote start feature or module was not installed.  How can I duplicate the same feature with my new 03 acura cls that was I can pre heat my heater seats?  I already wired up all the heavy guage wire but unsure of what other wires is needed?

Odds are not all of the accy wires at the igniton are being powered if your heated seats wont turn on when remote started.   You'll have to find the accy wire that provides power to the heaters then wire up a relay to power that wire during r/s.

Put with the previous setup when I hit remote start my radio comes on my parking light blinks and door remain locked like if it was going through a remote start sequence.  Now I can't even get it to do all that and all acc and ignition wire is on.  I haven't hooked up any of the other wire other than the heavy gauge ones yet so that could be a problem.  Esp the hood pin if that matters at all...

o btw I don't understand why the acc isn't fused?  I mean in the harness they have the 12v red wire fused but what protects the acc wire from relay to acc wire in case of short?...just curious...

Have you installed a bypass module for the transponder system in the car.  The fuses on the red wires are what protect all the other heavy gauge wires.  If there's a short on the pink, pink/white, orange, or purple wires one or more of the 30amp fuses on the red wires will blow.

Well I don't need a transponder since I'm not using the remote start to actually start the car.  I just need the brain unit of the alarm to transfer power from the red wires to my acc when I hit the remote start feature.  I know this can be done as my last installer had it like this.  And also no vat bypass was use on the trans am either.
