Alarm Help

I just want to make sure I don't screw anything up. When hooking up an alarm would it hurt the alarm if a 12 volt signal come throught a output wire on the alarm brain. Example say I hook up a trunk release and tie into the factory trunk release wire. Now if I where to press the trunk release on the car it would also send the volt to the trunk and to the alarm brain. Or  on the power door locks when I arm and disarm using the factory door locks it would also send that signal to the brain. Could this cause a problem to the alarm?

Your vehicle has a single wire resitior door lock circuit in it.  To hook the door locks up you must use two relays.  The first relay will be the unlock relay.  Pin 85 will be the (-) unlock pulse from the alarm. Pin 30 (from that relay) will go straight to the YELLOW /GREEN door lock wire.  Both relays pins 87 need to  tie together and go to ground. Both relays pins 86 need to go to a constant 12volt source that is fused.(approx. 5 amps). The pin 30 from the lock relay(the second one) will go through a 1000 ohm resistior and then to the YELLOW /GREEN door lock wire.Finally you need to run your (-)lock pulse from your alarm to pin 85 on the second relay.  That should take care of your locks.    If you have any more questions feel free to e mail me directly.  Brian
