just did a 2000 four door dakota, alarm and remote starter, everything works fine, somehow i tripped the check engine light, techsoft lists 3 ignition wires dark blue, BLACK/ orange, and green red. im guessing something with the ignition circuit tripped the light. all three wires test as ignition positive through cranking. any ideas?

Did you hook up all the ign and acc wires Techsoft lists? Did you attempt to remote start it before connecting ALL of them?
Disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes and then reconnect it and start it with the key. If the check engine light is off at that point attempt to remote start it and see if it goes back on.
