This is really a question that is asking for personal preference. Most alarm systems are very reliable when installed correctly, if you have a local shop that you trust, let them suggest a system. They will be able to provide a warranty on the system as well as installation. Purchasing a unit and then taking will normally not include a warranty on the unit you bring in.
With that being said, I prefer DEI equipment Viper/Python/Valet/Sidewinder, etc.

thank you for the reply, so pretty much they are all good and I should just go to an installer and trust that they will give me what I want?

I would never tell anyone to go in blind, without doing some research first.
As anyone on this site will confirm, the best system in the world will not function properly if not installed properly. If there are a couple of local shops, go to them, get their literature on the systems they are authorized to sell/install and make your decision from there. If you can find people that have used the shop in the past, talk to them, see what they think. Reputation is everything.
