I'm having an issue with the above setup.  About 50% of the time I can disarm the alarm, but the doors won't unlock or lock when arming.  Sometimes it works fine.

Example, We go to do some running around.  It doesn't unlock the doors so I have to use the key.  We get to stop one, and I lock the doors as we exit because it's acting up.  When we come back out, they may unlock with the remote or they may not.  Sometimes everything is fine for a few days, then it just stops working right again.  The alarm will alway arm (passive) it just stops working the locks.

There is a button next to the headlight switch that does something with the dome light and I noticed that it seems to affects the way the alarm works also.  Should this be in or out or does it even matter?

Any thoughts for things I can check would be great.  Is it possable that the 457gw is faulty?

Thanks,

Delorian

Some more input...

I just tried reprograming it.  Hold the button, connect connector 1, hold until it flashes...   It won't flash even after holding for 5 min.

I'm not using the 3 wire connector or the BROWN / white and green on connector 1.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

One more update.  I connected green from connector 1 on the 457gw to the - door switch wire from the alarm.  I am now able to program the 457gw.  Now the remote start kicks it over and it dies instantly and the door locks still don't function with the alarm remotes.

Any help would be great, this is driving me nuts!!!

Thanks,

Delorian

It sounds to me like you don't have the 457gw programmed as it will only let the door locks function after its programmed. How and where do you have the rest of the wires connected off of the 457?

OK, Pulled it all apart today to double check.  For starters, I have a crimstopper CS-2016FM alarm. hope this helps...

Black - Cassis ground

Red - Diag plug pin 9

Grey/Black - BCM Black plug pin E

RED / White - Alarm 9 pin connector GREEN/ Red aux out 1/2 sec - pulse

BROWN / White - not connected

Light Green - Alarm 3 pin connector Green -lock

Blue - Alarm same 3 pin connector Blue -unlock

Violet - Diag plug pin 2

Blue/White - Alarm 9 pin connector Blue/Black -ignition output

Green - Alarm 5 pin connector Green -door pin switch input

I learned two things.  The 457G will not program if the hood is open.  Not sure why...

Also moved the Grey/Black wire above to the BCM.  It was on the +ignition as stated in option 2.

It seems to be working for now, time will tell. If it can go a week without messing up, I think I'll have it.

If you see any errors in the wire above, please let me know.

Thanks for the help,

Delorian
