i have 4 add-on sensors for my new alarm. i have a few quick questions on wiring them properly.

+12v constant is obvious.

i know i need to add a 1amp diode to the alarm (-) trigger input for each sensor as well.

my question is on my (-) 500 mA ground when armed output. it's only 500 mA: is that enough current to supply to all 4 sensors? my guess is not, and that i will have to use a relay, and have the (-)500 mA output trigger the relay, which completes the ground. is this correct?

second question, on my microwave sensor, there is both a hard and prewarn output. my alarm does not have a separate prewarn and hard input. can i simply connect both the prewarn and hard trigger to the (-) trigger input of the alarm? my alarm has the .8sec prewarn and >.8sec hard triggers, but they're not separate inputs.

please help, i need your input.  if there are existing diagrams and topics diagramming this, please post it up!  tia

okay do not hook up a relay for your GWA output. you would have a energized relay at all times if you did that.....using one relay that is. this in turn would kill the battery with its 150ma draw. your warn away on the motion sensor should be hooked as following........warn away wire to 85---86 to 12v---30 to 12v---87 to externally mounted piezo or standard siren...with ground of course on the siren also.

though I currently own a paging type alarm that lets me know of sensors being tripped...the piezo on the warnaway is a good indicator to me of whats happening on the vehicle if its within earshot.

Someone pass me that bottle.
