So the install has finally begun to take place. The RS3 into the 02 Odyssey...sorry JBX and ECG I just couldn't afford the AG4. Ive begun cutting on the airvents to place piezos in the front passenger area and plan on doing the rear vents soon. I have two children. A two year old and a 7 month old.
The situation is this. My wife loves the "valet-take over" feature of the remote start. This ensures that the kids still enjoy Elmo and the AC is running. While checking the mail with the kids in the vehicle she would arm the van. This of course would generate a chirp from the piezos inside causing a massive download in the diapers.
This hasn't happened yet as I will be finishing all features tomorrow. Just trying to be one step ahead of the wife.
Any suggestions to alleviate internal piezo chirp on arm and disarm?
Thanks, Mel
Someone pass me that bottle.

I don't know much about Clifford units...but is there a wire outputting to the internal piezo's that you can break with a relay only when the ignition is powered (or) in your case remote started? Just an idea...let me know if it works for you. If you don't know much about relays and how to wire it up let me know and I'll post it.

Simple enough. Currently I have a relay to energize all sirens. I could add an additional relay to split with the ignition on. Thanks. The gin is obviously setting in.
