I recently installed a Crimestoppers Alarm/Keyless/remote start in '96 Jeep Cherokee.  All ok for several days, then no keyless.  All other functions work as programed.  Door locks work fine using factory switchs...everything normal.  I reprogramed transmitters, checked harness connections, checked taps into factory harness...all appear OK.  Any thoughts...bad Crimestoppers CPU???  P.S.  The jeep has factory infared keyless...system not removed or otherwise touched...again, Crimestopper worked fine for several days.  Thanks for any help.

you must go into both doors or use a jeep interface module!

negative triggers were direct tapped into harness at driver side kick.  all ok for several days...then no fire on the keyless...all else ok....all connections checked...cpu rebooted...transmitters reprogramed...door switches still work as normal.  wire continuity checked, checked firing response for lock/unlock at cpu.  I got 11.5 v consistently when triggered.  reprogrammed trigger timing to 3 sec. from .75 sec. - still no activity!!!!!!!  I'm strugglin' here...especially since all worked ok for several days!!!   Thanks Chris or anyone else.  I'm still learning.Door lock trouble - CrmStop Alarm -- posted image.

Can you please let us know how you wired in the relays ? Pin 86 to ?, pin 85 to ?

You may have shorted out the BCM for the keyless entry module by inducing a negative signal to the positive trigger of the locks.

Long story short...according to my distributer...the 2011 has updated adaptive learning in the trigger outputs...will detect positive or negative.  The '96 Jeep has a feature to pulse the door locks when keys are in ignition if you try to lock doors...back emf fried the door trigger control of the 2011.   Unit replaced...diodes installed before direct tap....all OK!!!!  Hey, I'm still learning.  Thanks for the help.
