Im installing a Viper 350Hv alarm in a 2001 Tacoma.  Which wires do I connect to the 451M relay for the door locks.

I found the RED / yellow - Unlock and the BLACK/ blue  - Lock.  Which and were do I connect the wires from the 451M relay too.

The Tacoma has factory power locks?
If so, the 451M is not needed; it's just straight negative-trigger locks from the brain.

You do not need to use the 451M on a 2001 Tacoma. You can just connect the green wire from the 350HV to the gray wire in the 22 pin connector at the front of the fuse box. Connect the blue wire from the 350HV to the purple wire in the same connector as the gray wire. Make sure and test all wires with a DMM. Where did you get the wire colors in your post from?

I got my wire colors from the back of the unlock/ lock trigger in the door.

Im getting 12 volts from the gray wire when i lock, but nothing from the purple wire.  should i test the purple wire differntly with the DMM then the gray.

I checked some other wires from the same 22 pin connector and I got 12 volts from unlock which was a blue/black wire.

I connected the green and blue wires and tested the remote.  The doors locked but didn't unlock. What did i do wrong.  And how can i fix it.

the power lock wire is grey front of fuse box 22 pin plug. this needs a (-)Negetive pulse from your alarm brain.

the power unlock is purple front of fuse box 22 pin plug. this nees a (-) Negetive pulse from your alarm brain.

These wires will test only by operating the key in the passenger door lock cylinder, not the rocker switch on the door.

I have never need to use a 451m on this vehicle.

If you use the wires from either lock switch(which you have) the unlock falls asleep after 10 minutes. Do like others said, front of fuse box and it'll work fine...

I think my Tacoma has child saftey locks.  And thats why my remote wont unlock the doors.  Do i have to wire this to my alarm, or is this not the problem.

Your Tacoma does not have child safety locks. Your doors should lock and unlock using the gray and purple wires in the 22 pin connector at the front of the fuse box. I have a 2002 Tacoma and that is how mine is connected.

Is yours a 4 door or extended cab? If it is a 4dr you do have child safety locks.
