Hello, I am installing an Automate(DEI) 7HF RemoteStart/Alarm system on a 2002 Trailblazer.  I have the PLDATA and GMDL1 modules.  I have 3 questions:

1. I do not have a ground output when running wire on the 7HF to connect to the PLDATA and GMDL1.  How would I go about doing this?  I do have a Status wire (-200mA).  Would this work?  Or is there a better way to do this?  Some specific info on how to hookup the PLDATA and GMDL1 together would be helpful too.

2. Do I need to connect both of the ignition and accy wires to the autostart for it to function correctly?  I have 2 ignitions out, but 1 accy out on the 7HF.

3. Does anyone have an install guide for the Automate 7HF?

1.  Status is "ground while running."

2.  Two main ignitions are pink and white; they'll make the engine run.  Orange is accessory; it'll power the climate controls.  You should have enough outputs on the DEI for this.

3.  Never heard of a 7HF, but try www.directed.com for downloadable manuals.....If you don't see the 7HF, try the Viper 550 or Sidewinder 6500----the wiring should be similar.

Thanks for the info...

There is a brown accy wire too.  This one doesn't need to be hooked up for any reason right?  Didn't know if the hvac and fan were separated. on the 02 Trailblazer...
