Dealer installed a valet 561t remote starter in my 2007 f150. To start I press lock button 3 times. The horn beeps on 2nd and 3rd press. Can I delete the horn myself or does the dealer have to do this?  Thanks

This the Ford BCM which sends the horn honks. Ask dealer to change programming of vehicle.

Thanks for the reply. I was trying to avoid going back to the dealer. He's pretty far away. I'll give him a call and make an appointment. Thanks again

The Ford's owner's manual doesn't offer a self-programming mode to get rid of the horn?

The Ford owners manual nor the valet manual offers a horn delete program . The valet manual does not even mention a horn chirp option.

You need to understand that the Valet is not the culprit, it's Ford. Ford vehicles don't honk if you press lock once but they are equipped to give a lock confirmation via the horn if you press lock twice.
I checked Mitchell and such and sure enough, you can't change this in this model Ford.
Your other option is to cut the horn wire exiting the BCM - this will cause you to loose the panic option which you probably never used so it doesn't matter.

Sorry for the delay. I really appreciate everyones reply's. The installer said there was no way to delete the horn. I took Big Dogs suggestion and cut the horn wire at the BCM. Thanks Big Dog. It worked great. Remote start works great,no horn chirp to wake the neighbors.

Thanks again everyone.
