Hi there! I tried reading through the various related posts, but none of them fixed my issue. I've managed to get the Compustar 2wss installed on my car (92 Nissan 240sx, automatic) and almost everything works right.
The car will start normally by key when disarmed. It will also remote start when disarmed. However, if it is armed, the car will not remote start or start by key.
At first, I was thinking it could be that I hooked up the starter kill relay incorrectly (key & vehicle side switched)... but if I did that, the car shouldn't start when disarmed either, correct?
When trying to remote start when armed, I can see the dash lights turn on and it looks like the car tries to start, but no cranking or anything (guessing starter kill is active).
It tries this a couple more times, then quits. No flashing error lights afterward - I'm not sure how long I'm suppose to wait for the flashing error lights, but none showed up.
Any help is appreciated. If I didn't include enough information - sorry, please tell me what I should be including.

You have your starter kill relay wired backwards. The starter kill relay is not active when disarmed so it will allow the vehicle to start. Reverse the wires you have going to the starter kill relay and post back your results.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

the car shouldn't start by key when the alarm is armed, that's the point of starter-kill. the reason it doesn't remote start while armed is the exact reason twelvoltz mentioned...or at least it should be

just make sure the starter wire from the remote start is on the car side of the starter kill, switching the wires wont make a difference if you leave this wire in the same spot.
