My brother just bought a 2006 impala and it has the factory remote start. He says the range is crap and he would also like a 2 way remote. My question is, is there any way to trigger the factory remote start with a module or something? I'll be installing a 2 way remote start/alarm, probably an autopage 1000rs, So can I use this to trigger the factory remote start some kind of way, or will I have to just hook up all the ign and start wiring?

You can buy from them a kit with a module, antenna, and remotes.........operates the factory remote start, but with better range.
I think they have a 2-way option as well, but I'm not sure.
Astroflex also makes a similar piece.

I agree with Chris, we are selling the new Chevy add-on modules that will give you longer range, retain most every option that the factory remotes have and also bypass the Passlock system and integrate into the OEM alarm system. Two ways systems are available and one way remotes as well.

TRX722, TX557 or TX447 all work with the XL201 module.

Ok, I saw the ones at bypaskit.com . So basically I have to upgrade the factory alarm with those modules and remotes right? Is there any way I can use an aftermarket alarm with one of those modules so I can still add extra sensors and have all the aux output channels? Or do I HAVE to use the trilogix remotes with the trilogix remote start module?
