today learned that a grand marquis must have it's second accessory wire fired up so that the alternator will turn on, i can't believe that i just figured it out now! I've done quite a vew of them with my only problem being that tach and the ignition coil would not work for tach because of what dei said was a low voltage problemwith this car, no wonder when the alternator is not on, we have done around sixty of these and this is the first one with a problem of running the battery down, learn something new every day,hope this helps someone!!! see ya!!!!!
