Need info on wire code for remote start and to troubleshoot problem. The remote start will trigger door unlock when vehicle is sent signal to start and upon trying to fix this issue it seems to have caused vehicle to start when key is turned to run position and not to crank. It is an Automate AM6 and I had not been the original installer. I made the second starter 200ma re-lock doors upon start to keep vehicle secure. Is there a way around this issue? Diode isolate or relay set-up? Any help would be appreciated.

There is a PURPLE / brown wire at the kick panel that will disarm the factory alarm.  To test that wire you must turn the key in the door cylinder and it should go from 12v to 0 when turned.  Try re progamming the tach for the cranking and change the setting to not unlock the doors when remote starting since connecting your factory disarm wire to the PURPLE / brown wire will disarm the factory alarm and not unlock the car thus eliminating the need to unlock the doors.

when my boss gets this vehicle back in I will have to trace where the connection was made and see if that was hooked up. Thanx for the tip.

Had vehicle back in shop today and the problem with the vehicle wanting to start when you turn on the ignition I figured out before I started to work on it. I wired the door lock output to the door lock negative and also tapped to it a 200 ma second start wire. I guess when the remote starter was locking the door it also back fed a negative signal to the relay and started the car. I fixed this by putting a 3amp diode between the second start out and the lock wire.
There was a different problem with this car I wasn't aware of until today. With the headlight switch in the off position, the lights would come on and stay on for about 10 minutes. In the auto they were fine. There was another diagram to hook into parking lights from Ford and it had a relay breaking contact on one of the wires and that didn't solve the issue. it had negative parking light out hooked to one side of coil and to the gray wire at the headlight switch. Then 87a and 30 to the cut wire violet and green. I did this as the diagram had shown. My boss and I were both perplexed and had tried also as DEI had described in their notes about breaking the contact to pin 1 the black and violet wire and that didnt work for this issue but both flashed the parking lights with the switch in the auto position. I even programed the illuminated entry and exit to (0) seconds and still on for 10 minutes.
