I have a 1993 Bmw 318i thati would like to put the Alarm/Keyless entry Module in. My car is prewaired for it. My questions is where is the module located in the vehicle? And does anyone know how hard it is to put in yourself?

Thanks

Luke

If it's prewired it should just plug-in but be warned, play safe and get your hands on the vehicle wiring system, '93 models were still in an interim stage of their electonics, lock control module might be either driver or passenger side, you only find out when you drop the glove box or lower dash on driver's side. I think you would find a keyless entry aftermarket system a better (simpler choice). I seem to remember that the facory keys with remotes built in weren't available until about '96/7.

Does anyone know if the keyless entry module off a 1992 Bmw 325i, will fit my 1993 BMW 318i?
Luke
