Im having problems with my alarm on my 98 grand cherokee. I believe it is a hornet 514t (I got this off of the back of the horn).
Lately my gages would not turn on occasionally. Yesterday, my car wouldnt start at first, then every time I hit a bump it would chirp. Today it wouldbt start at all. Sfter looking around in the engine bay I found a grey wire, with a black stripe hanging, but I couldnt find where it was connected. This was comeing from the same spot that my red & black wires that connect to the horn from the cabin was. I disconected the battery for a bit & then reconnected it. The car started, but the alarm kept going off. I cut the 2 wires going to the horn, but then the engine wouldnt turn over.   Now I have those 2 wires connected again, but when I hook the battery up, the alarm goes off. Can I disable the damn alarm somehow?

if you really dont want the alarm anymore wat you could do is take the dash down and look for the brain disconect 4 fuses n take your started(yellow wire) and solder back to factory
