I am working on a 07 Dodge Ram 6.7L Diesel and I have not been able to find a tach signal, I went through the ECM and no luck.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Bill

blue/grey stripe at the PCM.  The PCM is bolted to the driver side of the motor.  There are 2 large plugs in it.  The wire you want is in the plug closed to the front of the vehicle.  The wire itself is on the right hand side of the plug, the plug is split down the middle by an allen screw, you want to be on the right hand (rear side of that plug)  its in the middle close to the allen screw.

All of your tach locations helped thank you, but know when go to remote start the truck the horn will go for about 3-4 seconds then stop. The truck will start but the horn is trigered. I am using a XK532 module and I am using the 1000 ohm resistor and a relay. Does anyone know how to make this stop? I checked with a local shop and they have the same issue with all dodge vehicles.

Have you tried shutting off your ignition controlled door locks? When you remote start the truck, it will lock and arm the factory security system. shutting this feature off, should prevent that.

I did one last week and had no problems. You should have a disarm output on the xk532 did you hook it up to the remote starter output.

make sure you are using a negative ignition output to the XK532 not a ground while running.   If you read the directions you will see they also instruct you to do that.
