front right weel always?

i don't know if this is the right place for this but here's my miscellaneous questoin. My front right hub cap wes stolen twice, and a friend of mine had his front right hubcap stolen too. Also I noticed a few cars on the road with missing front-right hubcaps too. What is the deal with front right hubcaps/wheels? anybody knows?

Good ideas. LOL auex, about government conspiracy to drive people insane. Well, I remember parking my car at this lot every day. The car was quite new(about 6 months). The caps weren't even scratched, if from being too close to curb. It had to be from forced removal since I checked the car when I left that day and when I got back..missing cap! Moreover, as I removed the remaining 3 caps to save them from being stolen too, I realised how tighly they were fit. They're "spring loaded" with two circular springs. Removal has to require quite some force with some tool such as a screwdriver's tip. After I removed the other 3 myself, I had peace of mind until I returned the leased car back to the dealer. My new car has alloy wheels without hubcaps and wheel locks so nobody can pull them hopefully! Thanks Justin and auex.

I don't really think a hammer and a chisel can get rid of a wheel lock. you might have to work harder to achive that. a) wheel locks are round and made or hardened steel so a chisel just won't sit anywhere on it but slip at all attempts and b) they are the same size of the nuts so strenghtwise, I would assume they are noless than the oem hex nut. good thinking though. upon thinking about it myself, i figured there might be a way, but that would require the car to be in a shop with some more equipment and tools than just a hammer and a chisel, not to mention the noises etc. I don't want to give any ideas on a bad thing even if they only be thoughts, so I rather not say my thoughts about it. now you've got me worried again.

i agree with you completely; if the driver touches or scrapes the curb with his/her wheel. I never do, so I know the reason isn't curbs, even though it is a very valid method. besides, i had the car quite new and was taking utmost care of it; I havent parked it next to any curb except while in NYC, and that too the curb was on the left side whereas the cap was on the right. the only thing i cannot be sure is if a UFO took my cap thinking it to be a small spacecraft that was stuck to my front right wheel since it was so clean and shiny.
