need help with F150

I'm not sure I'm even posting this on the right website, but I just bought some BMW M3 style mirrors..the ones with the blue LED turn signals on the back of the housing..for a 99 F150 and the instructions I got with them were pretty crappy and was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to wire them up?? 

Not sure about the exact colors but basically you will have a ground and a power.  The ground will probably be black and just put a ring terminal on it and screw it to sheet metal where it is clear to do so.  The other wire coming from the mirrors will need to go to the wire that powers the turn signal, left turn signal to the left mirror and the same for the right.  Chances are the wires are going to be under the drivers side dash in the harness that goes into the firewall.  Just look at what wires are at the actual turn signals and find them in that harness.  Then hook them to their respective turn signal wire.  When you do this then the mirrors will flash with the turn signals and with the hazard lights.  Just make sure you know what wire is ground and which wire is for power, since leds are basically diodes if you get this backwords it won't work.  Sorry I don't know the exact wire colors but if you look at the actual signals then that should give you the colors you will need.Certified Security Specialist

Thanks.  There is also a third wire coming out of the mirrors.  After searching in the instructions, it says that the third wire plugs into the packing lights...I'm guessing its suppose to be parking lights.  But that would mean they come on whenever you turn the parking lights on.  Is that how they are suppose to work?
