I recently bought an alarm that I hooked up and everything works fine.  The only problem I have is setting up the Trunk Release.  I bought 2 actuators to unlock the tonneau cover from my Chevy Silverado, but I am not getting any signal from the trunk release wire..

In order to make it work, I need to get a 12volt pulse... With the alarm I bought, you simply hold the unlock button for 3 secs and it is supposed to unlock.

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Withought knowing what alarm we can't go any further but; and you will have to meter this, the trunk release wire usually provides a low current negative output.   Feed this to terminal 85, 12v+ at actuator amperage x 2  e.g. 20 - 30amps to 86 and 87, to actuators from 30.  That instruction is also in most alarm install manuals.

It is a no brand alarm I bought from eBay. It just says green wire to trunk release in the install manual...

the green wire is most likely a low current negative output, so you will need to use a relay to change the polarity to positive. check out the "relay" section at the top of the page. there are diagrams there to show you how.
