I have built this relay posted on the 12volt site:
momentary to constant on -- posted image.
I am using a Momentary switch which sends a 5v positive pulse. My question is how do I get the same switch to send the positive pulse to turn the circuit off? I am trying to use a stock Mercedes switch for my application. Need help, I'm new to this.

Cheaper to use a latching relay for up to 10amps, no coil current draw whilst it's on.
Omron dual coil latching relay under $5 from Mouser or Farnell, constant pos(+) to one side of coils and alternative neg (-) switching supplied from the switch.

I got this from the UK RS components site but Mouser, Farnell, RS = the same company.

Here's a layout, note the coils are polarised.

I just realised you wanted POS (+) switching all you have to do on those Omron relays is to ground both (-) sides of the twin coils and individually feed the (+) sides from your switch. Look at this.
