Hello,

Does anyone know what type of lock/unlock system GM used on the 1998 trucks. My alarm has both +/- for the locks but it eith has the three or five wire system I think. Anyone?

'98 Chevy has the five wire. If it has the OEM Keyless module it will be reverse polarity but it it does not have the OEM keyless module it is positive pulse. The wire colors are L Blue(lock) and White(unlock) located in the drivers kick panel.

To add to what paudio said, if you have a 4 door version of the truck the locking system is a positive type A system.
