i wish to make a consant feed into a pulsed feed using a 5 pin relay to flash a set of 2 21 watt lamps alternating a flasher unit cann't be used because of the wattage.

Hi dude you may use a simple flasher carter

use it to command flashing your relay if you put it in line with the coil of your relay.

85: ground

86: the first side of the flasher can...    the other side will be 12 volt from the output of the accessory switch of your device 

do the rest of the job as usual

30 common

87 contact close when energized

87a contact close at rest

Fuse if needed it's less expensive to protect than to extinguish fire....
