I'm having as much trouble posting the problem as I am fixing it! My 99 bonneville courtesy lights are supposed to dim and go out when you close the door. They now stay on all the time so I removed the fuse. Can anyone tell me where the gadget is that controls this so I can replace it?

well it might not be the dimmer module that is doing this. if the lights are staying on without going off i would look at one of the door pin switches first that control the signal to the module to let it know the door is closed and to start the dimming/off process. does the door chime stop once you shut the drivers door? is the door ajar light on when the doors are all closed? you will need to unplug each one(door pin switches) located in the door jam, one at a time with each door closed that is not being tested to isolate the problem. and then at that point that you find the light still does not turn off you look at the module.
