I am installing a overhead console in a 2006 GMC canyon, (came from a 2000 S10) the console has compass , thermomiter, overh light and 4 reading lights. (i got the lights working) there is a six pin connector for the compass/thermomiter to wire in, i do not have the wire harness. i figured out the wire locations for 12V and ground, and temp sensor, i need to figure out the color and location of the VSS wires, illumination wire, and LED dimmer signal wire on the 2006 canyon so i can finish the project. any help with a wiring diagram for the overhead console and the truck?  any help will be great!

ok i figured this out, on most places they tell you the VSS on the back of the steriao is a green wire, i found this not to be true, i traced the VSS on the tranny, turned out to be a purp[le wire, i then attached to the purple wire next to the orance power wire on the back of the strerio and wala, it worked. iam not a tech, or installer, trial and erorr kinda deal, any way just incase someone has an 06 Canyon and want to install a center console overhead, the 2000 modle works good. Pin 1 on the computor goes to power, 2 goes to ground, three goes to VSS, pin 4 goes to temp sensor, 5 and 6 are not needed.

i enjpoy reading the stuff on here, it gives me ideas., thanks
