On a 2008 Chevy Uplander all of the wiring is 16 some 14 ga. On the wiring diagram the starter wire is yellow. The yellow goes from the ing switch to the BCM and is only 16g. How would you test this wire? Does the switch makes ground? Would this be the same for the ass and ign wie?

The pink, brown and the yellow wires are 16 gage. When I connect a test light from the yellow to ground I do not show any voltage when the key is in the start prosition.

You really do not need to be using a test light in a newer vehicle. Did the vehicle turn over when you were testing it with the test light?

Nothing. Maybe this week end I'll retest using my voltmeter. I wish I could find the wiring diagram for the Van. The chiltons, alldated do not have the 2008 Uplander listed.
