Let me first say what a great resource this forum has been already.
I'm getting ready to install a Viper 5301 into a 2005 Mazda Tribute. I think I have the majority of the wiring down by looking at the 2004 Tribute and 2005 Escape wiring which seems to the same. One thing I'm missing is the rear defogger connection. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I've pulled the defogger switch and it appears to be a momentary switch  with the number 1 pin black with white strip and the number 2 pin blue with orange are the only two connected when pressed.  Likewise the Blk/wht seems to be a (-) so I'm assuming (I know, never good to assume) that pulsing the blue/org (-) should toggle the defogger on/off.  Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Got it figured out. drawing it (-) toggled the defogger on/off.  Also had to use the H3-6 pink/wht flex to power accessory 2 to get power to defogger.  This also meant programming menu 3-8 to option 2, to configure H3-6 as an accessory output.

One thing that threw me off was the ignition wiring.  Last time I work on the ignition of a car (late 70s early 80s), the wires were 12 gauge.  Frankly, this had me looking for a while.  Now, it appears, the ignition outputs are all (+) activating relays, and the ignition 12v had a factory fuse of 10 Amps.  My concern is the 5301 supplies 12v currents up to 30 amps to these ignition circuits, far above the factory rating of 10 Amps. 

Do any of you replace the 30 amp inline fuses supplied with you remote starters with lower capacity fuses?  Frankly, I think 2 or 5 amps would easily suffice for the accessory, starter, and ignition relays, as the relays only seem to draw less than 20 milli-Amps.
