Hi 12volt members.

Im new in this forum, please let me introduce first.

My name is NIcolas, im from Chile. Im a Subaru enthusiast, so i have a wide knowledge specially in Forced induction engines.

The trouble i have now, is because a friend of mine wants to install a gps with fuel pump shut off system, so i need to install a relay in the positive wire of the fuel pump.

Unlike my subi, the acces of the fuel pump isnt in the upside, instead it comes under the car in front off the fuel tank.

i saw a couple of wires coming out the fuel pump and inserted to the chassis, then goes to someplace up the car under the carpet (i guess in the lower side of the driver side)

Some one knows which is the color code of the wire for the positive power for the fuel pump?? and where i can acces to it??  (back side of the car )

Thanks in advance

Nicolas

Probably easier to get at by going to the fuel pump relay under the hood.

Thank you Howie II for the input.

Did you think that the color of the wire in the relay of the pump in the box will be the same of all the wiring until the pump???

i found the wiring of the pump under the carpet of the left passenger side, but there is at least 8 wires, i think because is the fuel meter system and some other tank thing.

Someone knows which is the color of the pump cable?

The gps system is installed in the re3ar of the car, so isnt practical to work under the hood

I definitely agree with the colour, the left hand dark GREEN / WHITE, you are either going to have to extend the wires for your fuel cut or relocate the GPS unit to the front.
