I purchased a vampire remote car start and keyless entry. I am going to install it on a 1997 Ford econoline van which has factory keyless entry only. It has a panic button which sounds the horn but this is the only time the horn sounds.

Is there anything special I have to due like disable factory keyless entry prior to installing this new one?

I have a wire that needs to be connected to siren (+) output, is this going to be the horn in my case?

Hi Scott, installing a keyless entry and remote start in your vehicle is a pretty straight forward install and there's no need to disable the factory keyless entry. You can add a siren or use the horn if you like, but use a relay on the siren output if you connect to the horn.
