Disarming stock alard for remote start on 97 vw

Im trying to add a remote start to a 97 VW GTI and it will not work with out diarming the factory alarm first. Any clues?

The OEM alarm system disarms with the unlock circuit of the vehicle on all models of VW's. Use a single pulse to disarm without unlocking but you will need to double pulse this wire for the unlock to enable. Let us know what model VW you have and we can post the wire color.
