I have a 2006 Honda Civic EX sedan w/o navigation.  I want to replace the factory speakers with Alpine SPX-177R's (6 1/2" components) in both the front doors and rear deck.  I need to know the depth for the front doors (the speakers are 2.8" deep) since I would like to leave it looking stock with the panels on.  Thanks and AWESOME forum!!!!

If Honda decided to follow the 2005 speaker's, then you will need to add about 1-1.5" spacer to the Alpine speaker's because the hole in the door is not round but has the shape of a loaf of bread. I know the '06 is a complete redesign and I've seen instructions for removing the rear deck and the front dash for HU replacement and it looks to me like a 3-4 hour first time job. Not fun ! Even the 04/05 Civic's were a complete bear to work with.
