ok i know there has been a topic like this before but I cant find the info I need from anything you have...

I know you can buy bypass moduals or mount the radio in the trunk.. BOTH unacceptible.

there has to be a way to install a aftermarket radio in the sunfires without cutting wires... is there a wiring diagram for a device I can make from radio shack parts or something like that I can do myself without giving my money to some company?? please help me on this.. and please dont give feedback about I should buy this bypass modual or so and so.. I dont need that info just the diagram and parts list of things I would need from radio shack to make this work.. thank you..

It's really a matter of reverse engineering the data signals that GM uses in its class II radios.  As long as you've got the equipment to do that you should be fine.  I don't know, however, that radio shack will have all the parts necessary to recreate that data signal.  The reason the adaptors are so pricey is not the parts involved or the assembly of said parts (that probably accounts for $2 of the price).  The price comes from the hours spent on research and experimentation to make the adaptors work.

DCGM09 harness, same thing as KarTuneMan said, just a diffrent company...both are abou $120 retail.BTW, you should cough it up and buy the harness, tthose radio's bounce data signals back from the radio to the ECM ans if the proper harness isnt using it could prevent the airbags from deploying in an accident.
