I am going to install a mobile tv/dvd in a '01 Maxima and my dvd player has 2 ports in the back of the unit for 12Vpower.  I will plug (power) into my dvd then to the cigarette lighter but i don't want to plug the monitor to the cigarette lighter (too many exposed wires).  Being that i have 2 ports for 12V in the back of the dvd is there a cable that can go from the monitor to the power of the dvd? Thanks.

Are both wire constant or is one switched and the other constant ? Make sure of this prior to installation otherwise you will loose your memory functions on the one that you only have switched ignition on.

Thank's.  What if i left everything plugged into the proper jacks (DVD 12v input to Lighter and Monitor to the 2nd. 12v input on the DVD) except for the main power from the cigarette lighter.  Then, wait until the car was running to plug into the lighter so everything can go on at once?  I'm not sure if i understood correctly? Thank you.
