i am having some problems installing a sunvisor monitor. The 8" tft lcd was pre mounted in a sunvisor, which i mounted and ran the wireing through the molding and into the floor. I cannot seem to figure out how to power it. It has a black box that plugs in and provides 2 video wires ( one input, one output) a video input on the box, and 4 loose wires, a black, a blue, a yellow, and a red. The diagram supplied only shows 3 wires??? Can some one help me and tell me how + where to get the power from. I am not sure how many amps it needs but requires a standard 12v.

I had the same wiring configuration on my Moble TV 5'' monitors a few years ago...i know the black is bround, yellow is constant, and red is ignition....I forgot what the blue wire was for..but i think i still have my manuals for them tvs in my garage..ill check and see...but im pretty sure you should be able hook them up with out the blue wire

run a wire from your battery fused, and an ignition from your fuse box, also fused

Doesn't matter if the constant power comed from the battery or the ignition switch or fuse box. I prefer the ignition switch myself, but what ever is best access for you. Fuse this wire is a good suggestion and I'd use a 5-7.5 amp fuse.

That will work too, usually when i do video systems i run a fused 10 guage from the battery...because usually you have all kinds of stuff to hook up, like dvd players, inverters, video amps, etc.....and fuse each of them indiviually of course
