The car is a 94 Buick lesabre and I'm installing an Alpine Ida x200
I double checked the wiring diagram(yellow) and when I shut it off it dropped from 12 to 0.50 volts and slowly drops to 0 volts after about an hour. Is this a problem?

Are you asking if the .50 is a problem...? This is the switched / accessory wire... so the loss of power is correct...?!

Yes I'm asking if the .50 is a problem. Any other deck I have installed the switched / accessory wire reads 0. So why does it show .50 and take a hour to drop to 0.(I did search) My main concern is have a drain on the battery and my wife and kids being stranded.
Thank you for your time

I would guess that the power is a capacitor bleeding off inside the radio.  I don't think it is a problem at all.

I'm with Kevin on this one.  Unplug the radio and turn the key off.  Now check the voltage.

The radio is not connected yet I didn't want to fry anything sorry for not mentioning that. I tested it with my volt meter and a test light at the same time and the light zero's my meter out when the ignition is off. So I guess its fine, maybe its because my dash is pulled apart right now.
Thank you all for the help
