Battery isolator

does anyone have a diagram on how to hook up a battery isolator for a boat-- i think that you just take the possitives from the original battery and hook it to the charge terminal -- then connect both battery possitive to each of it's own terminal -- i would just like a diagram to be sure. thanks in advance. 

oh -- do i have to fuse the pos and neg?

Hey guy, here is a link to exactly what you were looking for... its a relay wiring diagram for marine use... its from a web site of a company that makes isolators. http://www.surepower.com/pdf/180119A.pdf its directed to a pdf file... if you have any problems just to direct to http://www.surepower.com/ and look around.
